FOTO FRIDAY… Autumn in New York

Central Park Bow Bridge

One of the most famous parks in the world, and my favorite, is Central Park, New York City. So many beautiful spots, trails leading to peaceful lakes, fields, gardens, and bridges.

This is the “BOW BRIDGE.” If you recognize it, it may be because you’ve seen it in a movie! The Bow has been used as setting in films such as The Way We Were, The Mirror Has Two Faces, Manhattan, Doctor Who, When In Rome, Made of Honor, Uptown Girls, and Night at the Museum. Park visitors break out into song at the Bow in Disney’s Enchanted!

I love autumn in New York, and, although this photo was not taken at “peak,” it caught some of the beautiful colors of fall. If you visit the park in the spring, you’ll catch clouds of pink cherry trees on one side of the bridge on Cherry Hill (aptly named). Winter finds the bridge draped in snow over a frozen lake. No matter what time of year you visit, head to mid-park at 74th Street for a beautiful, peaceful visit.
